Transforming mental healthcare
Jackson, Dekalb, and Marshall counties have been a mental healthcare desert, with few counselors available and almost none that take major insurance providers. Scottsboro Professional Counseling is proud to serve these regions with a much-needed variety of options for both treatment and payment.
A modern approach
We have two offices located in Scottsboro and Huntsville, and offer telehealth appointments state-wide. Our trained and certified mental health counselors and social workers treat the tragically common mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, trauma, bipolar disorder, and behavioral challenges, and have worked hard to establish relationships with their communities to better understand and meet their clients’ needs.
A Culture of Caring
Several of our counselors have experience working with veterans and active-duty military members and their families, and we are proud to serve local first responders and their families as well. We partner with programs ranging from employee assistance to county Department of human Services, believing that strong communities need and deserve support at every level, every age, and every stage of life.
Looking to the Future
Counseling goes beyond any single generation. SPC is committed to not only supporting our clients now, but preparing the next generation of counselors to carry on our work. We offer Master’s-level internships and supervision hours for ALCs.
